Biden to Hold First Solo Press Conference in Eight Months
President set to face reporters on Thursday
White House event comes two weeks after 'disastrous' joint conference
WASHINGTON -- President Joe Biden will hold his first solo news conference in eight months on Thursday, when he faces reporters at the White House at 6:30 p.m. ET.
The press conference comes two weeks after Biden's disastrous joint conference with Finnish President Sauli Niinistö, during which the president appeared confused and struggled to answer questions.
Since then, Biden and his team have worked to prove he does not suffer from cognitive decline. He has given a number of speeches and interviews, and has met with foreign leaders.
Thursday's press conference will be Biden's first opportunity to answer questions from reporters without the presence of another head of state.
