Julie Chen Moonves Leaving ‘The Talk’

CBS Daytime’s ‘The Talk’ has announced that Julie Chen Moonves will be leaving the show after 11 seasons

Julie Chen has been a familiar face on CBS Daytime’s ‘The Talk’ for over a decade. Now, after 11 seasons, she has announced that she will be leaving the show.

Moonves’ departure from ‘The Talk’ comes after a tumultuous year for the show. In September 2018, her husband, Les Moonves, the former CEO of CBS, was accused of sexual misconduct by multiple women. Moonves was subsequently fired from CBS, and Chen took a leave of absence from ‘The Talk’ to support her husband.

Chen returned to ‘The Talk’ in January 2019, but her time on the show has been overshadowed by the ongoing scandal surrounding her husband. In recent months, there have been reports that Chen was considering leaving ‘The Talk,’ and her departure has now been confirmed.

In a statement, Chen said that she is “proud of the show we have created” and that she will “always cherish the memories” she has made on ‘The Talk.’ She also thanked her co-hosts, the crew, and the viewers for their support.

Chen’s departure from ‘The Talk’ is a significant loss for the show. She was one of the original co-hosts and has been a key part of the show’s success. It is unclear who will replace Chen on ‘The Talk,’ but the show will likely undergo some changes in the coming months.

In the meantime, Chen is expected to focus on her family and her other projects. She is currently working on a memoir about her life and her marriage to Les Moonves.
